Atlanta has some of the best soul food in
the nation and here are a few places:
- A mainstay is Paschal’s Restaurant, where Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders met
to plan marches. Paschal’s was founded by brothers
James and Robert Paschal, who provided free fried chicken
to students arrested for protesting. Originally in the
West End district, Paschal’s is now located in historic
Castleberry Hill; (404.525.2023)
